Creating The Life You Want

Is It Possible?

Is it really possible to create the life we want?

I mean, surely it isn’t that difficult if others have done it before us, or do they have superpowers that enable them to create the life they want?

Then what allows some people to achieve this? The creation of the life of their dreams…

There are some principles, which in NLP we call principles for success, these are:

  • Set goals and know what you want
  • Be open to feedback
  • Be flexible
  • Build good relationships
  • Have a positive mental attitude
  •  TAKE ACTION!!!

What I have found is that by applying these principles we can truly get to work and start to create that life we want.

For example, if we go through life without any goals, do you think we will get anywhere?

Equally, if we take people’s advice for granted and don’t act upon them, would this get us any closer to where we want to be?

Do you think being inflexible would allow us to come up with solutions to any problems that may arise during the process?

In order to create a harmonious life and a life that is congruent with what we want, having good relationships is important; likewise, having a positive mental attitude (mindset – self-talk) enables us to build a good and strong relationship with the most important people in our lives, ourselves!

Lastly, and this is the area where most of us fail (and I hold my hand in the air too), we forget (or choose not to!) to take action and get to work to create the life we want.

Using these principles, to me, is like a recipe for a nice cake, in order to get the cake you have seen in a picture you must ensure you follow the instructions to the letter; otherwise, you will end up with something totally different.

  1. single space!:)))) Goal setting is always a common habit of millionaires. When you set your goals every day, it allows you to prioritize and keep first things first. But like you said, if you don’t take action then goals won’t do much for you either, nice post:)
